Some basic knowledge of international express
1. Actual weight and volume:
refers to the actual total weight of a batch of items to be transported, including packaging, called actual weight;
When the items to be delivered are large in size and light in weight, due to the carrying capacity of the means of transport (aircraft, trains, ships, cars, etc.) and the volume of the items that can be loaded, the The method of converting the volume of an item into weight is used to calculate the weight of the freight, which is called volume weight or volume.
Items whose volumetric weight is greater than their actual weight are often called light parabolic objects.
Two, billable weight:
According to the definition of both actual weight and volume and the regulations of the International Air Cargo Association, the weight of freight collected during the transportation of goods is based on the actual weight and volume weight of the whole batch of goods. Higher calculations.
Three, the scope of quasi-delivery
A variety of small items and samples, except for items that are prohibited from being sent and delivered in excess of the prescribed limit, can be sent in small packages. International parcels can be airmailed and registered.
The following items can be enclosed in the packet:
(1) Records, recorded or unrecorded tapes, silk, perforated paper tapes or cards, tapes or similar materials processed by mechanical devices;
(2) Photographic negatives and undeveloped film;
(3) Invoices related to the internal parts and the remarks of weight, size, volume, etc., the delivery date of the goods, the registration number, the price description, the factory logo, the trademark, the origin of the goods and the raw material comments, etc. Sign with the name and address of the sender.
(4) Documents that do not have the current nature of correspondence that the sender of the parcel is allowed to send to the same recipient of the parcel in the parcel.
Four, weight and size limit
(1) The weight does not exceed 2 kg.
(2) Maximum size: the total length, width, and thickness are 900 mm, the longest side must not exceed 600 mm, and the tolerance is 2 mm. Round coil, twice the diameter and length total 1040 mm, the length shall not exceed 900 mm, the tolerance is 2 mm;
(3)Minimum size: length 140mm, width 90mm, tolerance 2mm. For round rolls, twice the diameter and 170 mm in length, and the length shall not be less than 100 mm.
5. Packaging requirements:
Appropriate packaging materials should be selected according to the nature, size, weight, distance and distance of the items to be sent, so as to prevent:
(1) The cover is broken and the inner parts are exposed.
(2) Injury treatment personnel.
(3) Contaminate or damage other mail or postal equipment.
(4) Damaged due to collision, friction, shock or pressure, weather influences during delivery.
A small amount of soft, dry, pressure-resistant items, such as clothes, footwear, etc., can be packaged in a standardized multi-layer tough paper envelope.
Other items should be packed in solid corrugated cardboard boxes, calcium plastic or metal boxes. When using a wooden box, the box board must be smooth enough to prevent the five-part sheet from falling off during transportation, and the weight of the package is less than 10 kg, the thickness of the box board should be at least 1 cm, and the thickness of the box board should be 1.5 cm if it exceeds 10 kg. ; If shipped in wooden boxes made of plywood, the thickness of the box board can be reduced to 5 mm, but such wooden boxes should be hooped by a packer.
Greasy, fishy, ??and anti-moisture items should be properly wrapped in plastic bags or wax paper, and then packed in a strong box.
Fragile items should be packaged in boxes made of tough plastic or cardboard, and the inner parts and the box board should be fully filled with soft materials. If there is more than one inner part, appropriate materials should be used to fill between the parts to prevent damage due to collision during transportation.
Liquid and easily meltable items and dyed dry powder should be put into a completely sealed container, and then set in a metal, hard plastic or strong corrugated carton. There must be a gap between the inner and outer layers, and wood chips should be used. , Sponge or other hygroscopic materials to fill up, so that the fluid can be exhausted when the container is damaged.
Live bees, leeches and parasites should be kept in boxes that can avoid all dangers. A label with the words "Animaux vivants (live animals)" written in obvious fonts should be affixed on the cover of the package.
